Order picking & packing

Pick robots and skilled staff work side by side: robots handle fast-moving lines whilst our team manages fragile or slow-moving products. Your own packaging, gift wrapping and marketing inserts are processed at no extra charge within the standard workflow.

For your orders we select the appropriate picking method per product. Fast-moving SKUs are handled via automated picking lines, whilst slow-moving or fragile products are picked by hand by our specialists.

Branded unboxing? We store your own packaging and incorporate it into the standard workflow at no additional cost.

How it works

From shop order to sealed box

The average order is picked, checked and labelled within forty minutes. We pick across six zones simultaneously, so a spike in one product group does not slow down the rest.

    Order into the WMS

    < 30 sec

    The moment your customer hits checkout, the order appears in our pick queue. We see stock levels, customer preferences (packaging, inserts) and the agreed carrier — all per order.

  2. 02

    Pick route generation

    Our WMS groups orders by zone, weight and destination. A handheld scanner guides pickers along the optimal route — fewer kilometres, fewer errors.

  3. 03

    Picking with double scan

    99,7% accurate

    Every pick is scanned on both SKU and location. A mismatch triggers an immediate alert; we do not wait until the parcel has left to discover the mistake.

  4. 04

    Packing & QC

    We pack in your own packaging if you supply it. For fashion and fragile goods a mandatory photo step is included, so returns have documented evidence.

  5. 05

    Label and pickup

    cutoff 16:00

    The carrier is selected automatically by the system based on destination and weight. Pickup runs daily at around 16:30, with a second round for express orders at 18:00.

In scope, optional or not included

As standard, every order is packed in our own packaging with the QC step appropriate to the product type. Branded materials and additional touchpoints are charged separately, based on usage.

  • Picking with double scan

    Both SKU and location are scanned. The error rate sits at 1 in 2,000 orders — measured, not claimed.

  • Standard packaging

    Kraft box or bubble mailer depending on the product. Recyclable as standard, regardless of your brand.

  • Packing slip and shipping label

    Generated automatically with your shop branding on the packing slip and the correct carrier on the label.

  • QC photo step for fashion + fragile

    A photo per order for values above €100 or for categories you flag. Evidence for return disputes.

  • Same-day dispatch

    Cutoff at 16:00 — everything out the door within one working day, whether that is 8 or 8,000 orders.

Optional

  • Branded packaging

    We store and use your own boxes, tape, tissue and stickers per order. No additional charge on the pick rate.

  • Gift wrap

    Gift wrapping with ribbon and card. Per wrapped order we charge the cost of materials plus 90 seconds of labour.

  • Inserts (flyer, sample, discount voucher)

    At order level, by customer segment or by order value. You set the rules; we execute them automatically.

  • Handwritten card

    Available in multiple languages (NL, EN, DE, FR). Suited to influencer packages or high-touch customers.

Not included

  • Custom assembly

    Combining products that require more than four handling steps (assembly, soldering). Other fulfilment partners are better suited for this.

  • Unpackaged oversized goods (> 2 m)

    Our pick lanes and packing tables are not set up for long goods. Dispenser goods can be handled via the pallet route.

Questions we hear often

Can I supply my own branded packaging materials?
Absolutely. We store your own boxes, void fill and stickers. Every order is packed in line with your brand guidelines, at no extra charge on the pick rate.
How do you measure 99,7% accuracy?
Each month we compare customer reports of "wrong item received" against total orders shipped. The figure appears in the monthly report; if there is a discrepancy, we pull the scan history as well.
What is the cutoff for same-day dispatch?
16:00 for all carriers except UPS Express (18:00). Evening and weekend pickups can be arranged separately on request for recurring peaks such as Black Friday.
Can we monitor the warehouse floor in real time?
Yes — the client portal shows staffing per zone, open orders and current throughput time, per shift. The same screen hangs on our wall too; identical data.
